GARAGEE II.... A name, a sequel, a concept, it fits.
With several EPs in between, 'Garagee II' marks the second full length, self-titled album from Garagee.
'II' presented Garagee with an opportunity to embrace the unique boundaries of the vinyl format. Focused and concise with two distinctive sides, reconciling and representing the duality of Garagee's musical approach.... On one hand, groove-based morsels, flecked with expansive electronics. On the other, cinematic post rock-ish aural vignettes, all coming together in an adventurous and eclectic, yet cohesive and consuming mix tape of filmic instrumental music.
Recommended for fans of Yann Tiersen, M83, The Album Leaf, Tycho, Grails, and other contemporary filmic instrumental composers.
